Tenet trains graduates to R01 standard to help industry growth
Tenet has launched a new graduate training scheme in association with the Graduate Foundation College.
The Graduate Foundation College, supported by the Institute of Financial Planning, was created by the Financial Skills Partnership to encourage financial advice firms to hire graduates.
Tenet will take on 150 candidates who will be trained to R01 standard, the Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics module which contributes to the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, over 10 weeks. This will hopefully help them to secure a six-month paid internship with a small to medium-sized financial advice firm in 2013.
Training schemes will take place in Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Leeds, London and Manchester.
Keith Richards, distribution and development director for Tenet, said: "Tenet is proud to be supporting this programme from the outset. It's a very positive move, particularly given the impact of RDR and the challenge of bringing new blood into the industry.
"This fast-track solution significantly shortens the graduate recruitment process for adviser firms and provides them with candidates who are already R01 qualified."
Paul McCraith, partnership manager between Tenet and the Financial Skills Partnership, said if the scheme was a success it could be expanded to cover mortgages, Paraplanning and wealth management.
