Tilney hires two for IFA business from Quilter Cheviot
Wealth manager and Financial Planner Tilney Smith & Williamson has hired two senior business development managers from Quilter Cheviot to boost its ambition as a partner for IFAs.
Gavin Hill and Jonathan Buttress have joined Tilney Smith & Williamson’s IFA business from Quilter Cheviot to focus on business development for the group’s MPS, Sustainable, AIM and DFM investment solutions in the Midlands and East Anglia respectively.
Mr Hill, who will be based in Tilney Smith & Williamson’s Birmingham office, has over 20 years of experience in financial services. He joined Quilter Cheviot in 2018 as business development manager in the firm’s Birmingham office where he developed business partnerships with advisers where managed and bespoke portfolios complemented their advice process and added value to their client relationships.
Prior to that he spent nearly 16 years as a senior retirement consultant at LV= where he developed a portfolio of IFA accounts across the Midlands.
He has specialist experience in occupational and personal pensions (including SIPPs), offshore Bonds and trust planning solutions.
Mr Buttress joined Quilter Cheviot as a business development manager in 2017 and worked with Financial Planners throughout the East Anglia region. He has also previously held positions with both pension and investment bond providers, including LV=.
