Tilney job spree goes on: Chartered Financial Planner joins
Financial Planning business Tilney has added another Chartered Financial Planner to its ranks as its hiring spree continues.
The firm started a hiring drive for “high calibre Financial Planners” when it announced in January that it had rebranded as the Tilney Group.
A recent report showed the company boosted its number of advisers from 146 to 328 last year.
Tilney announced a major rebrand in January following the takeover of Towry.
Alex Bolton joins the team in Tilney’s Nottingham office after leaving Castlegate Financial Management where he spent four years as a Financial Planner and pension specialist. Prior to this, he was a pension adviser at Oval Financial Services.

Rob Chandler, regional head of Financial Planning at Tilney, said: “Alex is a highly-talented Financial Planner and has a great track record of forging and maintaining relationships with both clients and key professional connections in the accountancy and solicitor space.
“He joins us during a period of growth for the firm within the Financial Planning sector and will be a key member of the team as we continue to reinforce our ‘two expert’ approach to supporting clients with financial advice and tailored investment management.”
Mr Bolton will deliver advice as part of the firm’s ‘two expert’ approach which involves Financial Planners being paired alongside investment managers to provide an integrated service to clients.
The enlarged Tilney Group has over 300 Financial Planners, investment managers and advisers supporting over 100,000 clients from a network of 30 offices across the UK, the company stated.
