Towry to acquire AXA-owned advice business Bluefin
Towry has agreed to acquire the business assets and contracts of Bluefin Personal Consulting for an undisclosed sum.
Bluefin Personal Consulting is an advisory business owned by AXA UK. It currently advises on £500m of assets for around 1,500 clients.
Bluefin Personal Consulting comprises of 19 wealth planners and 70 support staff.
The firm has been recognised as an Accredited Financial Planning Firm by the Institute of Financial Planinng.
The acquisition is set to complete during the fourth quarter of 2013.
The two firms will work together over the coming weeks to ensure a smooth transition.

Andrew Fisher, chief executive of Towry, said: "We are very pleased to have signed this agreement with BPC, whose advisers have demonstrated a strong track record in building trusted relationships with clients.
"The transaction is in line with our stated strategic objectives to grow by acquisition and the BPC proposition will further strengthen and broaden the range of services we can offer to both Towry and BPC clients."
Ed Bradshaw, AXA UK group strategy director, said: "AXA UK is delighted to have reached this agreement with Towry, which is well placed to offer high quality planning and personal financial advice to BPC clients in the future."
