Financial services and Paraplanning support firm the Verve Group has launched an initiative to attract new talent to the Financial Planning profession.

The ‘We Are Change’ initiative is a training-drive to attract and train up new entrants to the sector in order to build capacity across the sector.

The framework will help individuals achieve their CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning as well as equipping them with practical skills needed for a range of roles including Paraplanning, advice, compliance and financial administration.

The training will be provided free to potential new recruits. They will go through a recruitment and selection process before being offered the option to study full-time over one year or part-time over two years.

The cost of £85 per person per month for two years will be paid by financial services sponsors such as asset managers and product providers.

Verve Group CEO Cathi Harrison said: “Now is an opportune time to engage and educate new talent to attract them to finance - get them to think about a starting a career, not just finding a job. I understand the uncertainty advisers are feeling right now, we feel it as a business too, but I truly believe that now isn’t the time to standstill. It’s time to come together collectively and build the profession we all talk so passionately about creating.”
