Wealth firm names new Financial Planning boss in hiring spree
Sanlam UK has revealed a triple appointment, bringing in an ex-Broadstone chief, and naming a new boss for its north of England Financial Planning team.
The company has unveiled a raft of new hires for its wealth division.
Paula Eddery, whose previous jobs included head of investments at Thomas Miller and CIO of Broadstone, becomes portfolio manager in the London team.
Katrina Usher becomes Financial Planning team regional manager in the north of England. She will help to “deliver and drive the firm’s new proposition through its client base” and to manage and increase the firm’s Financial Planning staff. She joins from A J Gallgaher, after having previously worked at Baker Tilly.
Charlie Parker will join in November to work closely with John White, head of wealth, to help grow the business.
Jonathan Polin, group chief executive, said: “These appointments come at an exciting time as we have just completed our strongest quarter with our Financial Planning business writing the highest ever new business. We are developing innovative solutions and adopting new technologies to enhance our existing business and ready our Partnership Programme to be relevant and attractive to quality advisers.”
The Sanlam UK Group has been through an extensive re-structuring and re-positioning since Mr Polin took over at the end of 2015. The business has been re-organised into a vertically integrated model with Wealth Planning at the forefront of the business. Non-core business units have been closed down and a new client investment proposition is being rolled out.
