Over two in five (42%) of award winners from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) in 2026, a rise from 37% last year.
The 130 winners were celebrated at Mansion House in London this week.
In 2024, the split was 62% male and 32% female.
The 2026 winner of the CISI Level 7 Diploma in Advanced Financial Planning category, the highest-level Financial Planning award offered by the CISI, was Mel Latham.
Mr Latham is a Certified Financial Planner at Financial Advice Centre as well as a members of the CISI Exam Panel.
Mandy Gill, executive director of global learning at the CISI, said: “We must always remember these fantastic achievements are never produced in isolation and we recognise and applaud the critical support our candidates receive from their community, friends, family, carers, firms and teachers.
“A special commendation and mention for all the women achievers, whom we are delighted to celebrate as part of our own commitment to the Women In Finance.”
The UK regions who received the highest number of awards were Birmingham (5), East Midlands & Lincoln (4), London (42), Scotland (4), South Coast (7), and Southern (6).
Of the 130 winners, 44 were from outside the UK.
The CISI, which awards the Certified Financial Planner qualification in the UK among other qualifications, is based in the City of London and has offices in financial centres such as Colombo, Dubai, Sydney, Dublin, Glasgow, London, Mumbai and Nairobi. It has 57,000 members in over 100 countries.
