Her presentation centred on using the cashflow model with clients and how it can be best delivered to maximum effect. Cashflow modelling is an important part of most IFP members working practices and it can be a challenge involving a client in the process. It can also be a challenge presenting the key aspects of the model to the client.
Julian Frere CFP^CM is Bristol branch chairman and commented: “It was invaluable to us having Marlene highlight the areas that can make a real difference.

“For me the key message centred on preparation. This includes among other things, making sure the information is correct and keeping a keen eye on any potentially unusual outputs, in other words look for errors. Also, be familiar with the ‘What if scenarios’ and be creative around how you demonstrate your findings in a clear way. The meeting was well attended and we enjoyed some lively discussion following Marlene’s presentation. We are grateful to Marlene for coming and speaking to us on such a relevant and interesting area.
