He joins the team as a Financial Planner having worked in the sector since 2008, predominantly in the high net worth advice area.
Most recently he was a senior Financial Planner at Aviva. Prior to this he spent over 10 years at HSBC.
Mr Busby-Cartwright-Owen is the latest to join the wealth manager in its current recruitment drive.
Earlier this week the group announced another addition to the team, Henk Van De Beek who joined the Nottingham team as a Financial Planner for Tilney Financial Planning.

Prior to their merger in September 2020, Tilney and Smith & Williamson migrated to a remote working model ahead of the first lockdown in mid-March.
The company has said that teams are currently working from home, with investment managers’ and Financial Planners having full access to group systems through secure technology.
