Mr Waterhouse will be responsible for the firm’s growth strategy in regions across the UK and will also aim to improve and deliver SPW’s advice proposition to clients, SPW says. 

He joins from Barclays Wealth where he held the role of managing director and head of distribution, leading client-facing functions in the UK.  

Prior to Barclays he held a number of roles at Fidelity, most recently as global head of intermediary distribution for the digital wealth business and was involved in the development of a B2B Digital Wealth partnership proposition. 

He also spent a decade working at Legal and General. 

Mr Waterhouse will join SPW in the second quarter of 2022 and will report to Mark Duckworth, SPW chief executive. 

Schroders Personal Wealth is a joined Financial Planning venture launched by Schroders and Lloyds Bank.

Mr Duckworth said: “Ben has a strong track record and robust understanding of the global wealth management and investment industry.
