He will replace his father Simon Boardman-Weston who moves to the role of executive chairman. 

Simon Boardman-Weston acquired 50-year-old BRI in 1991 and it now has 44 employees, more than 1,000 and an annual turnover of over £5m. 

Coventry-based BRI provides advice on a range of areas including investment management, Financial Planning, inheritance tax planning and tax efficient investments. 

The firm’s wealth managers and investment team work side by side. Clients include individuals, charities, trusts, intermediaries and corporations. 

The firm is aiming to be a leading independent regional wealth manager. BRI says that long-term sustainable growth matters more to the company than short-term financial performance. 

Simon Boardman-Weston, executive chairman, said: “I’m delighted to announce that Dan will succeed me as CEO. Dan has played an integral role on the board and management team, helping us to become the successful firm we are today. 

“Dan will also maintain his responsibilities as chief investment officer, where he has excelled, and I am excited to see him lead the firm into the next stage of growth. 

“I plan to remain involved in the day to day running of the business, taking on the role of executive chairman. For the last few years, that job has been done in an exemplary manner by Dean Wragg, who has combined it with his numerous other responsibilities and will continue to be an important part of the company’s future.”
