The Financial Planner of the Year awards are held each year with the IFP working in association with Money Management magazine. For years they've been seen as the profession's equivalent of the Oscars as they are a real test of your technical knowledge and planning skills.
The awards are being held slightly later in the year this time, with candidates required to submit their responses by the 3 September deadline.
There are eight case studies to choose from including: Retirement Planner, IHT Planner, Wrap/Platform Planner, Investment Planner, Pre-retirement Planner, Investment Company Planner, Equity Release Planner and Protection Planner.
To be eligible for the overall award Financial Planners must enter at least three categories to demonstrate the breadth and variety of their expertise. The overall winner will receive a £5,000 cash prize with category winners receiving £500 and runners up £200.
