Kellie Williamson joins the 21-strong team at Acumen which is based in Burscough.

Ms Williamson will support the firm’s team of financial advisers.

Acumen managing director Angela Maher said: “Kellie’s appointment further strengthens the team who support our advisers. They play a key role and are often the first port of call for our clients.”

Ms Williamson said: “With five years’ experience in financial services, I have recently moved to the area from the Midlands.

“It’s a very close knit team of advisers and support staff and everyone has been really welcoming which is helping me to settle in the area.

Ms Maher said the company has just had its most successful year since she set up the business 16 years ago. Annual turnover is up 36% and the firm has £395m in funds under management, up 12.8% on the same time last year. 

She said: “We are continuing to grow with more people trusting us to deliver clear, friendly and straightforward financial advice.”

Acumen Financial Partnership was formed in 2006 and offers a range of financial advice services including investment guidance, life insurance, pensions, mortgages and equity release.
