Plans for the IFP's consumer awareness campaign Financial Planning Week, which takes place from 25 November -2 December, are well underway.
This is the sixth consecutive year that the IFP has organised the consumer campaign, which has been gaining increased support each year.
Now's the time to get planning how you can get involved this year and promote your brand and business into the bargain. As well as blogs, articles, PR work with local radio or media, one of the most successful ways is to offer free Financial Planning surgeries.
In 2012, many firms across the UK opened their doors to engage directly with consumers. It's easy to organise and the IFP can help you to promote the surgeries too. If you'd like to find out more email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Last month, the IFP launched Wayfinder, a new consumer brand which the IFP hopes will help to increase the engagement with consumers around key Financial Planning themes.
The Wayfinder brand will be used for Financial Planning Week to help consumers navigate their way to achieve want they want from life. Tips and tools will form part of the PR campaign which again this year will be organised by the IFP with Holt PR, which the IFP has worked with on previous campaigns.

Many IFP corporate members have already indicated their support for the campaign. Liontrust, who supported the consumer survey in 2012, will again be involved in 2013.
Similarly, Prudential will head up
the Financial Planning Week radio campaign with live and recorded broadcasts being made available to radio stations across the UK. Aviva have given their support to the campaign for the first time.
This includes hosting the launch event at their London offices and providing access to celebrity figures to support the media campaign. Alliance Trust Savings are also getting involved for the first time.
The IFP is also working on plans to run a focused education competition and supporting activities intended for use with secondary schools. This would be an exciting addition to the campaign for 2013.
