The PR campaign organised by Holt PR generated excellent media coverage. The focus was on quality, with the media encouraged to highlight the opportunity for consumers to visit Financial Planning surgeries or to get answers to their financial questions online via the IFP's Ask a Planner service.

Sue Whitbread, the IFP communications director, said: "With each successive campaign we've made progress in raising awareness about Financial Planning. However this year there was a real step change as a result of the increased engagement and activities from Financial Planners across the UK. CFPCM professionals did a great job responding to ask a planner questions.
"The depth of the answers provided clearly showed the significant expertise that these planners have and the value they can add. Also, the dozens of firms which opened their doors to consumers and offered free financial surgeries made a real difference, giving consumers a direct experience of how Financial Planning can add value to their lives. It was great to get the support of rugby legend Will Greenwood MBE too at the media launch! We've had excellent feedback from the public who attended the surgeries."
