Schroders has appointed a new head of global equities who will join from American Century Investments this summer.
Alex Tedder was senior vice president and co-head of global and non-US large cap strategies at American Century Investments, where he managed £12.47 billion of assets and a team of 15.
He will assume responsibility from Peter Harrison for the global and international equities team's business management and strategic planning in June.
He will also lead the team and drive the development of the team's franchise.
Simon Webber will retain his investment focus, working with the team's global sector specialists to ensure that client portfolios benefit from the team's proven research capabilities and high-conviction idea generation.
