St. James's Place Wealth Management announced this morning it is expanding its trainee programme to Solihull.
The move is designed to attract candidates from the Midlands, south west and south Wales. The firm already has centres in London and Manchester, having started the academy in 2007.

The first intake at the new location will begin in September 2015, with interviews for candidates starting this month.
Andy Payne, academy manager, said: "The launch in Solihull is testament to the continuing success of the St. James's Place Academy's in London and Manchester.
"The academy provides opportunities for candidates to take control of their working lives and to be supported in a new career in wealth management.
"Solihull was chosen to further extend our regional coverage and create career opportunities throughout the Midlands. I would encourage anyone who is thinking about a career change to consider the opportunities that the academy has to offer."
The programme offers people with no previous experience in financial advice the opportunity to become partners and wealth managers within St. James's Place. Candidates come from a wide range of backgrounds ranging from the armed forces to marketing professions, the company said.
Successful applicants undertake an "intensive education, coaching and assessment programme equipping them with the ability to provide a professional, expert and face to face wealth management service to their clients". After two years, successful trainees graduate from the academy into the St. James's Place Partnership.
Founded in 1991, St. James's Place was listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1997 and is now a FTSE 100 company with over £52 billion funds under management.
