That was the conclusion of the Financial Planning Today magazine Financial Planner survey, assessing the state of the Financial Planning profession in mid-2017.
Nearly one fifth of respondents said their client numbers had shot up by 25% or higher, while over 32% said they had experienced a 10-24% boost. Another 31% said that client number had risen by between 1% and 9%, while just 3% reported a decline.
Gill Cardy, formerly MD of the IFA Centre and ex-Principal of Professional Partnerships Independent Financial Planning, said: “The increase in client numbers evidenced in the research reinforces the reasons for a positive outlook in Financial Planning firms. Pension freedoms are likely to continue to generate an increase in client numbers, for those firms who want them.
