Jem Turrell, who has more than 25 years’ of wealth management experience, joined Thesis from Standard Life Wealth, where he was a senior client portfolio manager for five years.

Prior to that Mr Turrell, who will also serve as office director, worked in a number of client facing roles, including at Towry, Lloyds Banking Group and Natwest.
 
A former member of the armed forces, Mr Turrell will assume responsibility for the management of client assets by the investment team at the Guildford office, which currently looks after around £120m.

He will also help oversee the growth of the office, which recently hired Tim Harman from Royal Bank of Canada as an investment manager.
 
Mr Turrell joined the business as it looks to expand following the acquisition of DFM Cambridge Fund Managers at the end of last year.

The firm also recently launched its Managed Income Service for advisers to help clients manage decumulation.
