The former head of a charity for the disabled has admitted defrauding the charity’s pension scheme out of more than £250,000.

Fraud worth £820m was stopped in the first half of 2019, up 14% on the previous year, according to the latest figures from UK Finance.

An insurance claims handler has been jailed after he abused his position to steal £390,478 from his employer by diverting customer payments into his own account. 



Two people have been jailed for a combined six years after being found guilty of five counts on insider dealing.
