3 readers win copy of thought-provoking new book
Three Financial Planning Today readers have won a copy of the new book ‘The Eternal Business’ written by a Financial Planning firm boss about how he sold his firm to his employees.
The new book by Chris Budd, chairman of Ovation Finance and a business author and speaker, looks at how to “transition a Financial Planning business for the employee ownership revolution.”
Mr Budd put his money where his mouth is by transforming his own Bristol-based Financial Planning firm Ovation Finance into an employee-owned business, becoming chairman in the process. He believes many more Financial Planning firms can embrace employee ownership.
He revealed his motivations and how an EOT (Employee Ownership Trust) can work for other planning firms in a recent issue of Financial Planning Today magazine which also included a chance to win a copy of the book.
Three readers who provided a correct answer (Answer B) won. They are: Paul Humphrey, Financial Planner at Trigon Financial Services in Bristol; Emily Pool, IFA at Perceptive Financial Solutions in Bedfordshire and a senior executive in a pensions and employee benefits company who asked to remain anonymous. Books will be on their way to all of them shortly and well done to all of them.
If you did not win but would like to buy a copy of the book Chris Budd is offering 50% off the price to the first 10 Financial Planning Today readers who contact him. He can be contacted at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Mr Budd said: “It’s a big decision to start succession planning. For this reason, many people leave it too late. The interest in the Employee Ownership Trust as the ideal business exit – and the Eternal Business book and online programme – has been extraordinary.
“It’s clear that this is going to be one of, if not the, preferred exit route for the small business owner.”
The book is available on Amazon.
