Aberdeen Asset Management holds Adviser Intelligence session in London
Aberdeen Asset Management held its third Adviser Intelligence session, in association with the Institute of Financial Planning, in London on 29 March.
The asset management firm has been running the sessions in various cities around the country on the topic of client suitability.
Speakers at the London session included Paul Resnik from Finametrica, Malcolm Kerr from Ernst and Young and Clive Waller from CWC Research. The speakers were decided by an advisory panel which included IFP chief executive Nick Cann. Other panel members include Lee Robertson from Investment Quorum, Malcolm Murray from Transact and Fraser Donaldson from Defaqto.
Topics discussed were based on delegate feedback from previous sessions held last year and included risk profiling, client suitability, cashflow modelling and macro trends for advisers approaching RDR.
Lauren Klugkist, marketing manager at Aberdeen Asset Management, said the London session had the biggest attendance so far with over 80 delegates.
She said: “I think people are happy to have all the content in one place and the feedback has been very positive so far.
“Nick Cann helped on our advisory panel to develop the content of the day and was particularly good at recommending speakers.”
Delegate and speaker Phil Billingham from Threesixty said: “I think the choice of speakers is why the seminar has such good attendance, if you have good quality speakers, people will be willing to take time out from their work to attend.”
Sessions have already been held in Birmingham and Manchester and will be in Southampton on 30 March and Falkirk on 16 April.
