Aegon unveils corporate workplace platform
Aegon has launched its corporate workplace platform - Aegon Retirement Choices.
The service has already been available for the At Retirement market since November but Aegon has since extended its features to reach the workplace savings market.
The service has only gone live for the workplace market and full proposition details will be given in September.
Adrian Grace, chief executive of Aegon, said it was ideal timing for the firm to enter the employee savings sector.
He said: "Our entry into the corporate platform market couldn't come at a better time.
"Pensions reform and the RDR will transform pension products and services and how they are distributed to employers and employees. Employers are looking to offer a wide choice of savings vehicles than a pension alone and people are living and working longer.
"The workplace savings market is changing, driven by technology that provides intuitive and efficient retirement planning solutions. Our workplace savings proposition on ARC has tackled all of these issues and delivers a compelling solution to advisers, employers and employees."
He said the firm would be using the summer holiday period to engage with advisers ahead of an official launch in September.
