Chairman sought for IFP Northern Home Counties branch
Today (24 May) is the last day to apply to become the Institute of Financial Planning branch chairman for Northern Home Counties.
The branch chairman organises speakers and events for IFP members to attend.
This follows the resignation of current chairman Chris Bowmer CFPCM who has run the branch, which is held in Milton Keynes, for the past four years. Mr Bowmer, who is a Financial Planner at Fortitude Financial Planning in Northampton, said he had enjoyed his time but that it was time to hand over the role to a new face.
Chairmen stand for a two year term and hold around seven meetings a year. Mr Bowmer said the best qualities for a potential branch chairman would be organisational skills and knowledge of what is happening and is interesting to the industry.

Branch members who wish to enter should be either CFPCM qualified or working towards it. To enter candidates should submit their CV and up to 250 words on why they want to become branch chairman and what they can offer.
Branch members will then have the opportunity to vote for who they want and results will be announced by 29 July.
Julian Frere, Bristol branch chairman, is also stepping down from the branch and details about applications will be given in due course.
Entries should be submitted to IFP membership manager Rachel Weihs on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
