Sheffield-based Belmayne Chartered Financial Planners is to launch virtual ‘consultations’ for consumers to raise awareness of Financial Planning Week which takes place from 5-11 October.
The firm said the virtual sessions will be a “Covid-19-friendly” alternative to its usual drop in sessions which it offers each year.
The firm says it is throwing its weight behind the CISI professional initiative to highlight the importance of planning for retirement and to invite local people to “review their financial wellbeing.”
Belmayne’s planners and experts will hold video conferences throughout the week with local people to help them learn more about Financial Planning.
Initial guidance will cover issues such as setting realistic savings goals, taking advantage of tax allowances and the costs of investing.
Financial Planning Week is an annual campaign organised by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment to improve the financial fitness of the UK public. It aims to promote resilience and life goal planning by encouraging consumers to think about their future and the benefits of professional advice.
Martin Birch, a partner at Belmayne, said: “We felt Financial Planning Week was the perfect time to launch a Covid-friendly alternative to the free drop-in sessions we were running at our office in Dronfield (Sheffield) before the pandemic. We want local residents to think about their finances and take this opportunity to learn more about the benefits of having a suitable financial plan in place.”
