CISI appoints new regional president
The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) has appointed a new president for its East Anglia Committee.
Mark Hinds Chartered FCSI is an investment manager and branch manager of the Norwich office of Charles Stanley.
He joined the CISI in 1998 and has been the branch manager of Charles Stanley Norwich since 2013.
He is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute and holds a master of engineering from University of Leeds and Penn State University in the US.
Mr Hinds manages investment portfolios for private individuals, trusts and charities both directly and working with financial advisers, solicitors and accountants.
The CISI says he enjoys living in rural Norfolk with his wife and two children.
He said: “I hope to continue the great work of my predecessor Richard Larner.
“This task will be made easier as I am delighted to have the support of Laura Ingram our new Vice President.
“Supported by an enthusiastic Committee we will strive to maintain the high quality and relevance of our CPD events in Norwich and Cambridge.
“We are also exploring involvement in other CISI projects such as in education and the more recent launch of the Young Professional Networks.
“We are actively seeking collaboration with other professional bodies in our region.
“That sounds like plenty to get our teeth into.”
Jim Winter, CISI head of UK business development, said: “We are extremely pleased to welcome Mark as president of our East Anglia Committee and we would like to thank Richard Larner for his leadership during the last three years.
“With over 339 members the Committee covers areas including Cambridge, Ipswich, Colchester and Norwich.
“We look forward to supporting Mark in the year ahead.”
