Copia Wealth Management Ltd in Denton, Manchester, has gone into liquidation soon after a Financial Ombudsman ruling against the company over a pension transfer.
The FCA has said that anyone with potential claims against the company can contact the FSCS.
The FCA said that Floyd Paterson, the sole director of Copia Wealth Management Limited, a firm authorised and regulated by the FCA, had appointed Alex Kachani of Crawfords Accountants in Manchester as liquidator.
Copia Wealth Management Limited was an independent financial adviser and also acted as an ISA manager.
In June Copia was ordered by the Financial Ombudsman Service to pay compensation after giving a client unsuitable pension transfer advice.
Copia applied to the FCA to cancel its authorisation in August.
The FCA said anyone approached by a Claims Management Company or contacted by anyone claiming to be a representative or agent of Copia Wealth Management Limited should take care as substantial fees may be involved in any claims.
