Delegates arrive for start of IFP Conference at Celtic Manor, Wales
Financial Planners began arriving at the IFP conference today (Monday) ahead of a packed schedule of events at the three-day event – the UK's biggest Financial Planning conference.
More than 600 delegates and exhibitors are expected to attend the three-day conference at the Celtic Manor Resort in South Wales.
Once delegates are settled in at the hotel there are a series of 'how-to' workshops available.
Prior to this, there will be a session exclusively for Accredited Financial Planning firms to discuss the Great Minds Think Alike campaign.
The conference will start at 11.30am today (Mon 1 Oct) and workshops will begin at 1.45pm for members.
These are an opportunity to pick up specific points to put into action immediately. Speakers at these workshops include Stewart Dick from Hornbuckle Mitchell on retirement options, Abbie Tanner from A Business Innovation on Twitter and Fraser Donaldson from Defaqto on due diligence.
After that will be a networking session for delegates new to the conference.
There will also be the IFP AGM, to which all IFP members are invited, where the four new IFP board members will be announced. This will be followed by a drinks reception and buffet dinner and entertainment in the evening.
The conference will be officially opened on 2 October by IFP chief executive Nick Cann and IFP President Marlene Shalton. It will close at approximately 1.30pm on Weds 3 October.
