Trusts and Estate Planning will be the focus of an online seminar for Paraplanners which takes place on Wednesday.
It the latest in the series of Paraplanner Howwows, which have branched out from the Paraplanners Powwow.
The decision was made due to demand from Paraplanners, who have requested the topic several times in the past, as ‘there are lots of quirks that can catch an unwitting Paraplanner out.’
As a result, the event’s special guest will be Carol Wells, head of wills, trusts and estate planning at Abbey Tax.
Ms Wells is a chartered tax adviser who specialises in capital taxes for individuals and trusts.
She joined Abbey Tax earlier this year to establish their consultancy service operation, having spent 13 years with Irwin Mitchell LLP in Sheffield.
The hour-long online chat with Ms Wells will involve tackling the following topics in relation to Trusts and Estate Planning:
What does it apply to? Who does it apply to? Limits on the relief How the relief is applied The impact of trusts Downsizing rules Transferability Planning opportunities.
Ms Wells will also be sharing some planning opportunities, which Paraplanners can use with their clients.
The hour-long online chat will take place between 1 and 2pm on Wednesday.
