Wealth manager and Financial Planning firm Evelyn Partners has appointed two Financial Planners and an investment manager to its Leeds and Newcastle offices.

Mark Carter has joined the Leeds office as a director in Financial Planning and Ross Bone has joined the Newcastle office as associate Financial Planner.

Mr Carter has more than 30 years’ experience in financial services, with the last 10 as a senior wealth manager. He joins from Aberdeen where he worked for five years, most recently as Financial Planning director. 

Mr Bone has 10 years’ experience in financial services and joins from Equilibrium Financial Planning where he worked for five years. 

David Smith, managing partner at Evelyn, said: “Mark and Ross will bring some great experience and capabilities to our Leeds and Newcastle Financial Planning teams but will also fortify our already-significant regional presence in the North of England."

The company has also hired Gail Carr to the investment management team in Newcastle.

She joins as a director from Rathbones where she worked for four years as an investment manager. Ms Carr has twenty years’ experience in the industry having previously worked at Brewin Dolphin within both the portfolio and investment management areas of the business. 

The firm said the new hires support its dual expert proposition where clients are offered, where suitable, both Financial Planning and investment management services in-house and often at a local office.

“Our expansion means we our investment managers and Financial Planners can work together in the same regional offices.” 

Last month Evelyn Partners International, the Jersey subsidiary of Evelyn Partners, moved to a new office in St Helier and boosted its team with new hires.

In December it added a new Financial Planner in London to boost its near 300-strong national Financial Planning team.

In its latest quarterly trading update the firm reported record AUM of £63bn for 2024. The company said it also generated a record £2.6bn of gross inflows in Q4 although outflows were up on the previous year.
