Fiducia appoints Chartered Financial Planner as new director
Fiducia Wealth Management has appointed a Chartered Financial Planner as a new company director.
Susie Laws joined Fiducia in October 2017 and is a Chartered Financial Planner with over 12 years’ experience in the financial services profession.
She said: “I am very privileged and proud to be a new director of Fiducia Wealth Management.
“I have always been very impressed with the work ethic, values and commitment which run through the heart of the company.
“It has a clear direction and structure, an investment specialism within the firm and an impressive depth and knowledge.”
Ms Laws said she originally joined the Dedham-based company 18 months ago because of the “refreshing” work-life balance offered by Fiducia.
She said: “I had met John Millican and Gordon Kearney at networking events and through LinkedIn and I was always impressed by the values they had installed at Fiducia.
“They understood that I had a young family but they also insisted that it didn’t mean I couldn’t do the job.
“It was hugely refreshing.
“There have been obstacles in my career – not because I was a woman, but because of my desire to have a family, which meant having a level of flexibility in my working week.
“For a long time, I wasn’t allowed to progress because of that.
“It was hugely frustrating.
“I feel truly blessed that I have been given the opportunity at Fiducia to have the career and family balance which I long desired.
“Being a mum means that my working pattern sometimes needs to be more flexible, but I truly believe that my clients never feel that they are getting a lesser service as a result.”
Gordon Kearney, managing director at Fiducia, said: “We are delighted to announce Susie Laws as our new company director.
“Since joining Fiducia, she has brought with her a wealth of experience, dedication and enthusiasm to the business.
“I look forward to working with her to continue to strengthen Fiducia across the profession.”
