Alnwick Garden’s iconic grand cascade has been renamed the Sage Wealth Management Grand Cascade in a sponsorship deal with the North East Financial Planning firm.
The sponsorship includes an investment to the Alnwick Garden Trust which supports social inclusion for vulnerable people across the North East.
Michael Sage, managing director of Sage Wealth Management, said: “The Grand Cascade is such a prominent feature within the garden and for us, it mirrored the natural ebbs and flows of life many of our customers face financially at any stage.”
Sage Wealth Management is one of the largest Financial Planning firms based in the North East. It has offices in Chester-le-Street, Hexham, Carlisle, Newcastle, Alnwick and Darlington.
Mark Brassell, CEO of the Alnwick Garden, said: “As a charitable trust, we rely on the goodwill of individuals, business and funders to enable us to not only keep investing in this unique place, a garden for all generations, but also providing well-needed services for our community and the most vulnerable in the region.”
Created by the Duchess of Northumberland, creation of the garden first began in 2000.
Since opening in 2001 the garden now includes a visitor centre, cafes, cherry orchard and treehouse restaurant.
Popular with tourists, the garden features the largest collection of European plants in the UK.
