Financial Wellbeing Show to debut on ‘Blue Monday’
The Institute for Financial Wellbeing (IFW), a non-profit body encouraging financial wellbeing, is to launch a new monthly YouTube show - The Financial Wellbeing Show - on Monday to coincide with ‘Blue Monday’ - often cited as the ‘most depressing day of the year.’
The show will premiere at 6pm on Monday, 15 January - Blue Monday.
Data published by the ONS today from a major public opinion poll ahead of Blue Monday, revealed that around a quarter (27%) of adults reported they felt lonely often, always or some of the time. When asked about the important issues facing the UK today, the most commonly reported issues were the cost of living (87%), the NHS (86%) and the economy (67%).
The new IFW show will be hosted by Charlie Goodman and Hiren Panchal and the inaugural episode will feature an in-depth interview with Emma Waller, an award-winning financial author, who will share her insights on achieving financial peace of mind.
The magazine style show aims to tackle the issues of people’s financial health against the backdrop of the cost of living crisis.
The show is designed to 'empower' viewers with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed financial decisions, thereby improving their overall wellbeing, the IFW said.
While the show is aimed at consumers, the IFW says that Financial Planners and advisers will also find the show, “an invaluable resource to gain tips and soundbites for them to implement within their client interactions.”
The IFW was set up by Financial Planner Chris Budd in in September 2019 and is membership-based business providing research, tools and knowledge focused on the growth of financial wellbeing.
The IFW works with a number of partners who have the opportunity to lead and support new financial wellbeing projects and research.
