FP Week 2019: Firm reveals initiatives to boost planning
West Yorks-based Chartered Financial Planning firm Berry & Oak has thrown its weight behind the CISI’s Financial Planning Week with a number of initiatives aimed at boosting the Financial Planning profession.
The firm took part in a free Financial Planning session for the CISI with a blogger so that she can then write about her experience and help Berry & Oak to promote the week and associated free sessions
It is hoped this will help to spread the message that the sessions are open to everyone to try.
The firm is also writing a daily blog about Financial Planning with “3 to 4 hints and tips” a day about Financial Planning, which is also being promoted on social media.
A 600-word article is due to go into Yorkshire Evening Post on Thursday and the company is offering free Financial Planning surgeries either face-to-face, over the phone or on Skype.
Berry & Oak’s Sarah Elson DipPFS, Chartered MCSI, Certified Financial Planner, said: “Financial Planning Week gets people thinking and talking about their finances.
“Money has such a big impact on so many areas of your life, it’s important to be in control of it.
“By helping promote Financial Planning and offering the [free] Financial Planning sessions we can encourage and help people, often with some very simple steps to give them some financial structure.
“Knowing where they are financially right now, means that we can then help them to think about where they want to be both short term and years down the line at retirement.
“The sooner people start to think about and visualise their future, the sooner they can take the steps to build the future they want to live.”
