FundsNetwork promotes insider Boylan to run business
Fidelity has promoted insider Jackie Boylan to be head of its platform business FundsNetwork.
Ms Boylan will take up her role on 1 January.
She joined FundsNetwork in May 2017 as head of advisory services, holding responsibility for the management and development of the service and experience that FundsNetwork delivers to advisory firms. Prior to joining Fidelity she worked in Australia for BT Financial Group, part of wealth manager Westpac Group, as head of customer services and head of distribution.
She will replace Pat Shea who will retire at the end of 2018.
She has held a number of management positions over the past 22 years including many years in Australia in customer and adviser experience roles.
Ms Boylan said: “I’m delighted to be appointed to lead FundsNetwork and work with the team to build upon its success and contribute to the next phase of growth. The platform and advisory market is undergoing significant change which is both exciting and challenging.
“I’m looking forward to working with our advisory partners in my new capacity to continue to develop the platform and deliver a market leading experience that meets their needs.”
Pete Horrell, UK managing director of Fidelity International, added: “I am very pleased to announce the appointment of someone of Jackie’s calibre to the role. Jackie has considerable knowledge and experience in the industry, gained from working both in the UK and Australia, both of which have well-developed advisory platform markets.
“This makes her ideally suited to the role and her appointment demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the financial adviser market.”
FundsNetwork is Fidelity’s investment platform for financial advisers and clients. It provides access to 2,950 funds from 130 providers and currently administers £77.4 billion in assets.
