Institute of Financial Planning branch chairmen are meeting in Solihull today to discuss next year's branch programme. The annual branch chairmens' meeting is held to discuss how the past year has gone and make plans for next year's programme. Chairmen are invited to share successful speakers and topics from their branch, best practice and tips. In the evening there will be a dinner and the announcement of this year's Branch Chairman of the Year. The meeting will also be the first meeting for the new branch chairmen. The new chairman for 2014 are: Brian Benson CFPCM from Crown Wealth for Birmingham Lien Luu CFPCM from University of Northampton for Northern Home Counties Ed Green CFPCM from Close Brothers Asset Management for Bristol Milton Gordon from Milton Gordon & Co and Karl Smith CFPCM from McLeod Browne for Thames Valley branch. {desktop}{/desktop}{mobile}{/mobile} They are taking over from Ian Smith CFPCM, Chris Bowmer CFPCM, Julian Frere CFPCM and Mark Cherrill respectively. IFP members are invited to submit their comments and suggestions for speakers and topics to their local branch chairman by 7 October. There are 22 IFP branches nationwide which are free for IFP members to attend.
