Entries for the Paraplanner for the Year award 2013 will close tomorrow (6 September).
The Paraplanner of the Year award is held by the Institute of Financial Planning and the winner will be announced at the IFP annual conference.
Potential entrants should have already registered their interest in the award as registrations closed on 28 August.
Previous winners include Jane Holt from Mackenzie Financial Planning and Gary Tunstall CFPCM from Para-Sols.
Entrants need to complete a technical questionnaire with Wizard Learning, a 1,000 word essay and supply a testimonial from an adviser they have worked with.

The two topics for the essay are:
-Discuss the importance of Paraplanning in attracting new entrants to the Financial Planning profession, identifying key challenges and proposing solutions
-Discuss how the role of the Paraplanner supports the delivery of Financial Planning to clients particularly in the reduction and management of risk in the business.
The three judges for the award are Steve Gazzard CFPCM, IFP interim chief executive, Patrick Ingram, head of corporate relationships at award sponsor Parmenion, and Richard Allum CFPCM and Martin Vaughan CFPCM from The Paraplanners.
The awards are open to employed Paraplanners as well as those working freelance or outsourced. They do not have to be IFP members.
