(From October issue) On 5 September, the IFP's hard working and dedicated branch chairmen met for their annual meeting in Solihull.
They discussed with each other and the IFP team which included IFP interim chief executive Steve Gazzard CFPCM how they'll be running their branch meetings in 2014.
With four new chairmen taking over in January, the schedule for the day focused on helping everyone to deliver the best meetings possible.
Chairmen discussed various potential topics and speakers for their meetings whilst reflecting on what worked well and what didn't during 2013. They then decided on a final schedule which each believed would be well- received by the members in their regions.
After the dinner, the much-awaited branch chairman of the year award winner was revealed - although the name of the well-deserved winner will be officially announced at the IFP annual conference in a few weeks time.

Steve Gazzard said: "Thanks go to all our branch chairmen for volunteering their time and for doing such a great job again this year. Their contribution to the work of the IFP and to the development of the Financial Planning profession is incredibly valuable and the branch programme for 2014 is looking like being our best one yet."
