A key objective of IFP is to help raise awareness about the benefits of Financial Planning with the general public.
Ultimately, this work to provide greater consumer awareness and engagement via national and local PR will lead to increased demand for the professional Financial Planning services of IFP members.
The highly successful Financial Planning Week consumer awareness campaign is the annual focal point of this work and this year, the campaign will run from 21-28 November.
In this its 25th anniversary year, IFP is planning to make Financial Planning Week even better, building on the considerable successes of its campaigns of the past three years. The IFP is already working on its plans for the week, the real impact of which will depend upon the help and support of IFP branches and members across the UK.
In 2010, the support of the consumer media for the campaign was very strong and many journalists are keen to do even more to cover the topic throughout the year – not just during the week itself. Sue Whitbread, IFP communications director, said: “It’s the perfect opportunity for the profession to steal the media limelight and promote itself and its benefits.”
