IFP corporate member profile: Vanguard
Vanguard has been providing low-cost products to clients all over the world for more than 35 years, but 2014 is a particularly important year for us, as we now celebrate five years in the UK. Combining Vanguard's investment expertise with a robust local team has helped us build a comprehensive range of low-cost products in the UK, all designed to help advisers and end investors alike reach their goals.
Our products have proven popular with advisers: our LifeStrategy range of five single-fund solutions has gone from strength to strength, reaching £1bn AUM in April this year. Our ETF range has also seen a very encouraging take-up, making us the fastest-growing ETF provider in Europe.
While we're proud of our funds, it's not just about the products. A commitment to education and learning is one of our key values. That's why we strive to deliver educational content in three main ways.

Firstly, we have a dedicated education site, vanguardlearning.co.uk where advisers can earn CPD credits and which hosts interactive education modules on topics such as ETFs, bond investing and the investment advice process. Each course features resources which make learning easy, such as animated videos, expert commentaries, learning materials and quizzes. After completing the course, advisers can receive a CPD certificate.
Secondly, we distribute thought-provoking research to advisers, including papers discussing the case for indexing, the advantages of a global approach in bonds, and the popularity of single-fund solutions. This research is available through our website as well as through email newsletters and face-to-face meetings.
We also run a programme of CPD-accredited Investment Symposiums, featuring insight from industry speakers, and continue to run smaller events throughout the year, such as online webinars and on-site regional workshops delivered by our sales team.
We believe that today's adviser should be a financial coach, helping clients establish and achieve their life goals. Through our educational support and our product range, our aim is to help equip IFP members with the knowledge and tools they need to fulfil this role.
