Supporting the work of the IFP staff is a large number of experts who give their time freely to further develop the profession of Financial Planning. As well as IFP board members and branch chairmen, dozens of people with a broad range of skills and experience are working hard to raise standards further still. During the last few months, all of the IFP committees and working groups have met to progress their 2013 agendas. These include the recently established consumer affairs committee chaired by Janet Walford OBE, the Paraplanner working group chaired by Richard Allum CFPCM, the Accredited Firms' working group chaired by Ian S Howe CFPCM and the governance committee chaired by Melony Holman CFPCM. These are in addition to the regular IFP Membership, Education, Conference and Audit committee meetings. IFP chief executive Nick Cann said: "We are so lucky to have the support of so many people and organisations who give their valuable time to help us ensure the brightest future for our profession."
