IFP launches online TV channel
The Institute of Financial Planning has launched its own online video and film channel called IFP TV.
The IFP hopes the feature will be a useful professional development tool for advisers and Paraplanners.
The channel already includes a series of interviews with senior IFP members and past Presidents on the secret of their success.
These include Paul Etheridge MBE and current IFP president Marlene Shalton FIFP, CFPCM.
It will also cover topical news and presentations and will play a big part in the annual Financial Planning Week in November.
Nick Cann, chief executive of the IFP, said: “This is yet another exciting initiative by the IFP which recognises the changing habits of the Financial Planning community.
“By embracing the medium of TV we are able to spread wisdom and best practice to all corners of the UK. In due course we will able to use this powerful medium to capture the real value of Financial Planning.”
The initial range of programmes have been created in partnership with IFP sponsor Prudential and cover topics such as pensions, IHT, off-shore planning and assessing risk.
Nick Hunt, market developments manager at Prudential, said: “The constantly changing environment means that it is not always easy for financial advisers and planners to keep up to speed with the wide-variety of technical topics which they cover.
“The range of accessible and educational programmes is designed to help advisers to improve communications with clients, in turn enabling them to conduct business more effectively.”
