Keynote speakers from around the world lined up for IFP conference
The IFP conference has lined up some top global keynote speakers to celebrate its 25 year anniversary.
On Tuesday 4 October, the second day of the conference, John “Jack” Brennan, chairman emeritus of conference sponsor Vanguard, will be starting the day off with a speech on the importance of trust in business and client loyalty.
He has worked for Vanguard since 1982 and served as president, chief executive officer and chairman of the board during that time.
After that Dan Sullivan, founder and president of Strategic Coach, will talk about how top advisers stay on top. He will question how Financial Planners view their role in the marketplace, who their primary relationships are with and what is perceived as value worth paying for post-RDR.
In the afternoon Nick Murray will talk about behavioural investment counselling. Mr Murray, president of The Nick Murray Company, will cover investor behaviour, behaviour modification and management as the key value proposition of the personal investment adviser.
Nick has worked in the financial advice sector for over 45 years and first spoke at an IFP conference in 1994.
On Wednesday, the conference will close with a speech by Mike Harris. The founder of Egg and First Direct will speak about client insight and engagement. He will also speak about how social media is taking centre stage in people’s lives.
The latter three sessions will be worth 1.5 CPD points each in personal development, professional standards and compliance and practice management respectively.
John J Brennan’s session will be worth 1 CPD point in professional standards and compliance.
