IFP corporate member profile: Transact
The early adopters of platforms quickly learnt almost 10 years ago that "you get what you pay for."
Our supporters have told us that while price plays a key role in their platform selection process; high quality service is a major the driver when selecting the most appropriate platform for their clients and business.
At Transact we operate dedicated regional service teams who build fantastic relationships with our users and who happily take unprecedented ownership and accountability for their service.
Over the past 12 months we've heard many, many times that: "Transact works! It does what its supposed to, when it's supposed to."
This sentiment was reinforced at the UK Platforms Awards 2013 where Transact was rated Best Platform for Adviser Service along
with Best Large Platform Provider. With more online functionality than ever (many hundreds of updates have been engineered over the past 12 years) our supporters can now interact with client portfolios in ways in which they
only dreamed of five years ago. We're constantly working with our supporters to deliver further service enhancements. Our development priorities are, for the most part, driven by advisers (occasionally we have our own good idea!) and Transact is one of the few wraps that owns its software and has a dedicated team of developers keeping us at the cutting edge of wrap functionality.

We recognise that cost does form part of the platform selection process. We often help advisers to look beyond the headline rate and focus on the actual ongoing cost to the client and when they consider things like ancillary charges, interest paid on cash and discounts for linked portfolios – advisers often find that Transact offers excellent value in the wrap market.
At Transact we continue to share our success and economies of scale and continue to reduce charges in a responsible way. We also deliver even higher levels of service and functionality enabling us to handle complex trading instructions, offer a multitude of different reports and scores of time-saving procedures.
In 2014 we will be dedicated to delivering an even higher level of service. We are looking at new ways of interacting with our users, increased support, further training and we have a few other things in the pipeline too.
