What sessions should you attend at IFP Annual Conference?
Delegates at this year's IFP conference at Celtic Manor from 6 to 8 October have some tricky decisions to make about which sessions to attend. Pre-registration for sessions is a requirement and, with numerous optional sessions to choose from, it could be tough. The programme is designed so that delegates can choose the sessions most suited to their needs. Whether Financial Planner, Paraplanner, compliance professional and/or business owner, you can be sure of plenty of valuable content.
For those interested in practice management, Kingmakers' Rob Stevenson will help you build a business plan. Nancy Slessenger will share her tips for managing your team made easy and Michelle Hoskin will show you how to build a business by design and not by default.
If you're looking for up to the minute technical content sessions include portfolio construction with Jackie Lockie FIFP CFPCM.

Bob Gordon will explore the changing pensions' landscape and Professor Stephen Thomas will look at joined up investing and introducing a Centralised Investment Process. Ethics and practice standards also feature with the inimitable Chris Keeble talking about virtue as the basis for trust. There will also be an enlightening session on defamation and social media which is a must for any avid tweeters and Professor Tom Simpson will talk about conflicts of interest and putting clients first.
If that wasn't enough, there are a number of personal development sessions on offer to delegates
including Doug Carter's session on building deeper relationships, Dr James Rouse' session on the neurobiology of high performance and a session from the listening expert, former hostage negotiator Richard Mullender.
These are just a taster. Visit the IFP website for more details and, if you have not yet made the decision to attend, hurry as places are already limited and expected to sell out.
