IFP members have seven days for gap-filling verification
Members of the Institute of Financial Planning have until Sunday 30 September to submit their gap-fill evidence for verification.
Gap-filling is an essential part of the RDR to indicate to the Financial Services Authority that members have reached their qualification requirements.
When submitting gap-filling, members should include evidence of all gap-fill activities such as exam certificates, details of relevant CPD and attendance certificates or copies of any assessments taken. A copy of gap-fill records and evidence should be kept for three years post-verification.
It will also check members have provided evidence of every session attended and successful completed any assessments.
The standard turnaround time for gap-filling verification is ten working days but IFP has said it cannot guarantee submissions sent after the deadline will be dealt with in time.
Once gap-filling has been verified, members will be able to apply for their Statement of Professional Standing. The deadline for SPS applications is 30 November.

If not all evidence is submitted, this will delay the process and mean members will be asked by the IFP to provide the additional material.
The IFP will check members hold the qualifications stated, gaps have been correctly mapped, have been completed and the activities undertaken are suitable for gap-fill.It will also check members have provided evidence of every session attended and successful completed any assessments.
