IFP staff supporting advisers at Ascentric RDR workshops
Institute of Financial Planning staff will be helping advisers transition to RDR at Ascentric’s new RDR workshops.
IFP-sponsor Ascentric will be running free half-day RDR workshops for firms who have transistioned or are transistioning to RDR.
Aimed at advisers, managers and compliance staff involved in their firms’ RDR strategy, workshops will be held in Birmingham, Bath and London.
Sue Leech, education director at the IFP, and Steve Gazzard, operations director at the IFP, will be speaking on professionalism and business planning while Nick Bamford from Informed Choice will be speaking on service and pricing.
Furthermore, Louise Wallis from Avelo will be speaking on business process and people and an investment practitioner will be speaking on the investment process.
They will take delegates through a 40 point RDR checklist and give them clear actions to take back to their firms.
Mike Morrow, sales and marketing director at Ascentric, said: “These workshops are designed to give firms valuable additional counsel as they fast approach RDR implementation which is now only six months away.
“The programme has been carefully designed following ongoing RDR feedback from our users and, given the range of expertise available, we are confident every participant will come away armed with a set of actions, or at the very least feel reassured that their business is ready for regulatory change.”
Workshops will be held on 17 July at Birmingham Botanical Gardens, 18 July at Trim Street, Bath and 19 July at the London Stock Exchange.
