IFP Surrey chair's online Financial Planning service wins award
A new online Financial Planning service created by the IFP’s Surrey branch chairman has won a national award.
SaidSo.co.uk, set up by Keith Churchouse CFPCM, was crowned winner in the Open Innovation category of the Investment Marketing and Innovation Awards 2015.
The firm scooped the gong for its “innovative approach to Financial Planning” and in winning, it beat off competition from firms such as Zurich and Quantifi.
Mr Churchouse said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to receive this national award. Although several years in the making, the site has only been fully functional as SaidSo.co.uk since January, so this recognition is testament to its success already.
“2015 has really seen the coming of age for the innovation of online financial advice. This award will inspire the SaidSo team further, as it adds weight to the debate that this new client advice delivery system is part of the future of UK retail financial advice.
“And given the recent announcements around pensions tax relief, allowance changes and future ISA investment in the Chancellor’s Summer Budget, the time is ripe for online Financial Planning.”

The judges were looking for “genuinely new ideas and execution with evidence of new thinking and innovation in message, creative approach or media”.
Judges stated they were “deeply impressed that with all the talk of an advice gap here was a small firm actually giving it a go – with simple fixed cost plans, another simple cost for implementation and one for continuous review.”
The team collected their trophy at last week’s prestigious award ceremony at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London.
The site has already received an accolade for its mobile-friendly responsive format at the Surrey Digital Awards 2015 in March.
