Nearly 100 Paraplanners have ditched their desks and headed not to their offices this morning as usual, but into teepees in the Northamptonshire countryside.
A professional retreat with a twist is in full swing at Upper Aynho Grounds, with a native American indian theme.

Guests have been painting their faces for the second national Paraplanners Powwow, which took place for the first time last year.

Organiser Richard Allum, founder of the Paraplanners, kicked off the event this morning, with groups of attendees splitting off into red, blue and green 'tribes' to discuss and debate a variety of topics.

What makes a good report and how to deal with pension and investment switches have been among the matters examined today.

The not-for-profit event has been backed by a raft of supporters which includes Cofunds, L&G, James Hay Partnership, Seven Investment Management and Transact.

To date, nearly 200 Paraplanners have attended Powwow events including four 'mini Powwows' held in Leeds in 2013, and London, Nottingham and Manchester so far this year.
