A network of investment managers has announced it is opening a new office in the north of England. Hargreave Hale, which provides discretionary investment management to private clients, intermediaries, corporates, charities and trusts, will run an office in York. The private client business already operated from London, Bangor, Blackpool, Carlisle, Lancaster and Worcester. It has appointed three investment managers to join the York operation. Tom Holliday and Jim Mersey-Thompson join from JM Finn, where they were both employed as senior investment managers. {desktop}{/desktop}{mobile}{/mobile} Mr Holliday has over 25 years' experience, having previously worked as a private client manager at Singer and Friedlander. Mr Mersey-Thompson has worked in investment management for over ten years. Adam Horsley joins the firm from Brown Shipley, where he was an investment manager for over eight years. Hargreave Hale chairman Giles Hargreave said: "Tom, Jim and Adam are talented investment managers who will provide a high quality service to clients in the region. "We are always on the lookout for experienced individuals with the expertise to add value to our offering." Hargreave Hale employs over 180 employees based across seven offices with £3.8 billion under management. The firm said it would be announcing further appointments to the York office.
